| The temple by the monastery was built in 1750. His founder was prince Ianush Sanguhko, the marshal of Lithuania.
February 9, 1753. Father Glukhovski put the cornerstone for the construction of the temple.
1754. The construction commenced.
Oktober 11-12, 1778. The temple of St. John the Baptist was consecrated by the bishop of Lutsk Frantsisk Komornitski.
1832. Since the Dominican monastery in Starokostintyniv was liquidated the parish moved to the Capuchin temple.
1887. Despite the shutting down of the monastery, the parish remained in the temple.
In 1906-1908 the Father Superior of the parish was F. Miletski, and later in 1913-1920 U. Y. Karpinski, who was arrested and served 10 years in prison camps in the Solovki.
The temple functioned until 1935, and then it was closed down and reopened in 1942.
From 1947 to 1989 the temple didn't function, but the building was occupied by a culture club.
March-November 1989 the parishioners repeatedly come to Moscow, to the Ministry of Religious Affairs with the request for the temple restitution.
December 24, 1989 took place the first, after 43-year brake service, carried out by father Stanislav Shykoradyuk.
1990. Friars Capuchin again take the parish under their custody. The new Father Superior of the parish was appointed Stanislav Padevski.
Nowadays the temple is completely restored and consecrated by bishop Ian Olshanski.
