1750. Prince Ianush Olexandr Sangushko proposed the monks of Order of Friars Minor Capuchins to find a place for building their monastery and temple in Ostrog.

January 2, 1752. Cathedral dean from Lutsk, father Yusef Golukhovski erected a cross on the construction site.

November 25, 1752. The first capuchins settled in a small shelter near a little wooden chapel. Later they started to build the monastery.

1775. Prince Ianush Olexandr Sangushko died, and the matter of the construction was taken on by the czar's marshal Stanilaslav Lubomirski. He was also the one who finally brought the construction to completion.

During 1830-1870, besides their ministry among the parish the capuchins established an orphanage for poor children.

1858. Since the hospital situated in former Dominican monastery was closed down, the capuchins together with the parishioners built near the monastery a hospital for the elderly and crippled.

1887. The monastery in Starokostintyniv was liquidated. The friars according to czar's decree had to leave the territory of the czar's Russia.

Starokostintyniv monastery and its temple were among the first buildings that were returned to the Church after the Soviet Union collapse.

1990. The authorities give the former Capuchin temple to a Bernadine, Father Stanislav Shykoradyuk, and he passes it over to Capuchin Father Stanislav Padevski.

This act of gratitude of the father Stanislav Shykoradyuk for the help of the Capuchins in his ministry became the commencement point of the establishment of the first Capuchin monastery in post Soviet Ukraine. The first friars to settle there were Stanislav Padevski and Khilari Vilk.
